WhatsApp New Features Update: Create Polls & Forward with Captions

WhatsApp – The most widely used messenger on smartphones globally, introduced new features in the latest updates for the end-users.

To make the group chat more interactive and productive, WhatsApp launched new features like include improvements to the polls feature and the ability to forward media with captions, as well as sharing documents with captions.

The new features are rolling out globally with the new updates, and all users will have access to them in the coming weeks.

Create Polls on WhatsApp

With these new updates for polls, now you can create polls even for single-vote polls. You can enable group members to vote only once and give conclusive answers to important questions. Poll creators can turn off the “allow multiple answers” option to enable this feature.

Moreover, users can search for polls in their chats by filtering messages by-polls on the ‘Chats’ screen. Notifications are now available for poll creators, notifying them when someone votes on their polls and showing the total number of votes.

Forwarding Messages with Captions

Another feature added in new updates is that you can forward messages with captions. Yes, users can now add, delete or rewrite captions when forwarding messages including texts, images and videos, to another group of connections.

In these new updates, users can also add captions while sharing documents. And features are applicable to various documents such as newspaper articles or work documents and can add a caption to provide context and clarity to their recipients.
