In summers people find various ways or arrange the best resources to cool down or keep their living area temperature normal to minimize the impact of heat. Fans and coolers are the prime most choice of every middle-class person to keep themselves cool in summers, but upper middle class and off course affluent class people use AC air conditioner at their home, offices and their living areas.

Though, AC is much costlier than fans and coolers, not only acquisition cost but the running and maintenance cost of AC is also very high. But people who can afford it have the ACs in their rooms. Even many people who don’t have enough money to afford it also manage to have this equipment to show-off their high living standard.

Using the AC or staying in the air conditioner is not harmful up to certain hours, but if you stay for long hours or regularly sleep at the night in the AC it could be dangerous for you. 

#1 Weaken the Immune System​

Regularly sleeping in the AC room make individuals more susceptible to viral and bacterial infections that develops the respiratory problems resulting weaken the immune system of human body.

The AC circulates the room air and converts the same into cold air, hence there is lack of fresh air. And when air circulates for many hours, dust particles, pollen and other particles in the air increases creates the allergy levels.

As the main role of air conditioner is reducing the humidity levels in the room and when you sleep in such rooms it will dry your skin and eyes that can cause excessive dryness, itching, flakiness. And long exposure to cold air causing the dryness skin and eyes can also cause the discomfort in eyes that can cause the redness in eyes, blur vision or itching.

Sleeking in the AC rooms expose your body to cold temperature for long hours, and exposing to cold temperature can cause the muscles pain due to contraction or tightening. Such people later face the joint pains, arthritis or musculoskeletal related health issues.

#5 Reduces Body Tolerance Towards the Heat

Last but not the least when you sleep in AC regularly, your body becomes adaptive to live in cold atmosphere. And when you are exposed to heated environment your body will be unable to tolerate the heat levels resulting you can cause the heat stroke or other health issues.

Using the AC is not bad idea, but if you have other alternative, then staying in the natural environment makes your body adaptive to the nature. It helps to boost your immune system and habitual to live in such extreme weather conditions.
